Mitzi's Message: Season of Gratitude and Reflection
A few weeks ago, I attended the Women’s Healthy Aging Innovation Summit, where BTPG was a media partner. It was the first conference I have attended since the pandemic, and I expected to be somewhat of a detached observer. Yet as attendees started arriving, people came up to greet me; some even gave me a hug. I realized that during these past years, I have had an incredible opportunity to meet and interact with dedicated entrepreneurs, investors, and other professionals, who, like me, have focused our attention on women’s health and, by so doing, created a community and ecosystem. I feel incredible gratitude for this community to which I now wholeheartedly belong. You can hear some of my interviews from the Summit here.
As you read this newsletter, I am also grateful to you for coming on this journey with me. Thousands of you have downloaded our podcasts, read our blog articles, and attended our webinars. I hope you have found useful information as well as inspiration; I look forward to continuing our relationship. I am also grateful for my hard-working team at BTPG and the guests that have shared their wisdom and perspective with us.

Carrot and Fennel Salad
We invite you to try Kitchen Witchery's Carrot and Fennel Salad. This simple and savory salad is sure to be a fall and winter favorite.
Serves approximately 4-6
Ingredients:
3/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and skinned
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine, apple cider or red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon grated orange zest plus 1/3 cup orange juice
1 fennel bulb halved, cored, and cut into 1-inch pieces 1/2 cup minced fresh chives
Directions:
Pulse hazelnuts in a food processor until coarsely chopped, 10 to 12 pulses; transfer to a small bowl. Whisk oil, vinegar, honey, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and orange zest and juice in a large bowl until combined. Pulse fennel in now-empty processor until coarsely chopped, 10 to 12 pulses; transfer to bowl with dressing. Process carrots in again-empty processor until finely chopped, 10 to 20 seconds, scraping down sides of the bowl as needed. Transfer carrots to bowl with fennel mixture. Add 1/4 cup chives and half of the hazelnuts and toss to combine. Season with salt to taste. Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup chives and remaining hazelnuts, and serve
